Lab Technician

Our client, a global life sciences and biopharmaceutical technology company, is seeking a Lab Technician to join their team. As a Lab Technician, you will be part of the Filtration Research & Development Applications Group supporting the Process Solutions R&D team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Lab Technician

Location: Bedford, MA 01730 | On-site

Pay Range: $29/hr

What’s the Job?

• Perform filtration applications testing and laboratory experiments to support R&D product and technology development projects.
• Work closely with engineers and scientists to execute experiments and generate accurate, high-quality results.
• Follow detailed experimental protocols, prepare solutions and perform basic troubleshooting with limited guidance.
• Document experimental work in electronic laboratory notebooks and perform basic preliminary data analysis.
• Organize results, support experimental planning and follow laboratory, equipment, EHS and safety procedures.
  
  

What’s Needed?

• Associate Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or another related Engineering discipline, OR High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of laboratory experience.
• Hands-on laboratory experience performing experiments, following detailed protocols and documenting results.
• Ability to perform basic experimental troubleshooting and complete laboratory activities within established deadlines.
• Experience with biopharmaceutical separations, including tangential flow filtration (TFF), normal flow filtration (NFF) or adsorptive media processes is highly preferred.
• Experience with electronic laboratory notebooks, product testing, EHS practices and Microsoft Office is preferred.
