What Is The Job
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers that meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
- Lead sourcing events including RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
- Negotiate supplier agreements, pricing, terms, and contracts.
- Develop and execute sourcing and category strategies.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Product Development, Production, and Materials teams on new product introductions.
- Manage Bills of Material (BOMs) and support sourcing activities for new product launches.
- Analyze supplier performance, lead times, costs, and procurement data to drive business decisions.
- Support supplier relationship management, cost reduction initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems, D365, and advanced Excel functionality to support reporting and analysis.
- Present sourcing updates, project status, and KPI performance to leadership.
- 5-10 years of strategic sourcing and procurement experience.
- Deep category management and sourcing expertise.
- Experience leading complex sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations.
- Strong commercial, contractual, and supplier management experience.
- Ability to lead cross-functional sourcing efforts and mentor less experienced team members.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
- Purchasing or Supply Chain certification preferred.
- Project management experience preferred.
- HVAC, manufacturing, industrial, or technical product experience preferred.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and D365.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and collaborate effectively with technical teams.
