Position Description
Jasper Central is the department at Manhattan University that brings together the essential services of Financial Aid, Registrar, and Student Accounts / Bursar in one convenient location on campus to provide students with a seamless and efficient experience.
In consultation with the Executive Director and Deputy Director, the Assistant Director will be responsible for providing direction and coordination of Financial Aid awarding and processing. This position would assist the Executive Director in strategic planning of the Financial Aid process while managing the daily processes.
This is an in-person, on-campus, non-remote position.

Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the University’s primary point of contact for Title IV and New York State financial aid applications
- Manage and administer all institutional aid programs, including scholarships and grants submitted by Admissions and other departments
- Oversee the campus Tuition Remission program
- Coordinate and manage endowment award processes, including student communications
- Supervise the Graduate Assistantship program
- Direct the awarding and processing of New York State financial aid programs
- Advise students and families on financial aid opportunities, eligibility, and funding options
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to manage complex tasks and problem-solve effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments
- Must be able to work some evenings and weekends
