SciAps is a small portable instrumentation company located in Andover, MA that provides portable instruments used to identify any element, any compound, or any mineral – anyplace and anytime.

SciAps specializes in portable X-ray fluorescence (XRF), laser-based (LIBS) and near-infrared (NIR) analyzers to measure any element in any environment. SciAps is the Center of Excellence for our handheld instruments.

About The Role
SciAps is a small portable instrumentation company located in Andover, MA that provides portable instruments used to identify any element, any compound, or any mineral – anyplace and anytime.

What you will bring to the role:
- Assemble electronic and mechanical assemblies
- Follow manufacturing and assembly procedures
- Document instrument build configurations
- Inspect and test products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Troubleshoot instruments, sub-assemblies, and PCB’s
- Meet internal manufacturing schedules
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace in a clean and orderly fashion
- High School completion or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions
- Familiarity with how hardware and software interact
- Problem solving skills
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in team environment
- X-ray, Laser, CCD background a plus
- Experience reading schematics and operating a digital multi-meter is desired
