Installers work directly alongside seasoned landscape professionals, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a wide range of landscape installation practices. They are expected to maintain a professional demeanor, follow all safety protocols, and contribute to the team’s success in the field.

This position is ideal for individuals passionate about landscaping, eager to learn new techniques, and ready to develop their technical skill set under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Installation & Construction

• Work under the supervision of a manager to:
  • Plant, transplant, mulch, sod, and grade.
  • Build walkways and patios.
  • Install low-voltage lighting systems.
  • Perform site and drainage work.

Field Performance & Safety

• Follow all MainStay procedures, safety protocols, and conduct guidelines.
  
• Maintain on-time arrival to support division efficiency.
  
• Work outdoors year-round, prepared with proper gear for varying weather conditions (rain, cold, heat).
  
• Operate and maneuver landscape trucks and trailers safely.
  

Teamwork & Professional Growth

• Learn and become increasingly proficient in MainStay’s technical and quality standards.
  
• Interact positively with team members, managers, and clients to foster a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• 1 years of landscaping industry experience preferred.
  
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding work for consecutive days.
  
• Exceptional work ethic with the ability to take direction and learn quickly.
  
• Strong listening skills and commitment to teamwork.
  
• Ability to drive and maneuver landscape trucks and trailers.
  
• Equipment operation experience is a plus.
  
• Energetic, flexible, and good-humored.
  

Physical Requirements

• Stamina for extended periods of physical labor.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
