About the Role
We’re hiring a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to deliver high-quality ultrasound imaging that supports accurate diagnosis and exceptional patient care. In this role, you’ll perform diagnostic and limited vascular ultrasound exams across all age groups while working closely with radiologists and clinical teams. This is a hands-on opportunity to make a direct impact on patient outcomes in a hospital imaging environment.
What You’ll Do
Diagnostic Imaging & Ultrasound Examinations
- Perform diagnostic and limited vascular ultrasound exams following established protocols
- Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment to obtain clear, diagnostic-quality images
- Analyze images for quality and retake suboptimal scans as needed
- Document measurements, exam data, and patient history accurately in electronic systems
Patient Care & Experience
- Verify patient identity and ensure required consent forms are completed
- Explain procedures clearly and compassionately to reduce patient anxiety
- Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety before, during, and after exams
Clinical Collaboration & Quality
- Assist radiologists and physicians with ultrasound-guided procedures
- Report preliminary findings and communicate abnormal results appropriately
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous quality improvement initiatives
Equipment, Systems & Compliance
- Maintain ultrasound equipment, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate service needs
- Adhere to infection control, HIPAA, and imaging department policies
- Support and mentor students and new team members

This is a 100% onsite position at our hospital in Port Clinton, Ohio.

- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent education
- ARDMS registration in Diagnostic Medical Sonography with applicable specialty credentials, or ARRT Sonography (RT[S])
- Strong patient communication, critical thinking, and attention to detail
- Proficiency using ultrasound equipment and electronic medical record systems
Preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience as a registered sonographer in a medical setting
- Multiple specialty credentials (Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular, Breast)
- Experience working in a hospital imaging department
