Job Title: Construction Supervisor (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical – Power Generation, Combustion Turbines)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor with over 10 years of hands-on experience overseeing civil, mechanical, and electrical scopes within large-scale industrial or power generation projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in combustion turbine installations, maintenance, and upgrades, and a proven ability to lead field operations safely, efficiently, and within schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities across civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines
Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of combustion turbine systems and associated equipment
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with project specifications, engineering drawings, and safety standards
Lead and manage subcontractors, craft labor, and field personnel to meet project milestones
Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to safety protocols
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to resolve field issues and optimize execution
Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction documents
Track and report project progress, delays, and resource needs
Enforce strict adherence to OSHA and company safety policies; lead safety meetings and audits
Support commissioning activities, troubleshooting, and system startups
Required Qualifications:
10 years of construction supervision experience in industrial, energy, or power generation environments
Direct experience with combustion turbine systems (installation, outage work, or commissioning)
Strong working knowledge of civil, mechanical, and electrical construction practices
Proven leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and electrical schematics
Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices (OSHA compliance required)
Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
Proficient with construction management tools and reporting systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in combined cycle or simple cycle power plants
Background in turbine OEMs (e.g., GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi)
Familiarity with commissioning and startup procedures
Relevant certifications (OSHA 30, NCCER, PMP, or equivalent)
Technical degree in engineering, construction management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Work Environment:
Primarily field-based at construction or power plant sites
May require extended hours, weekends, and travel depending on project needs
