Position Summary
The Automotive Service BDC Receptionist plays a vital role by managing inbound and outbound customer calls to schedule sales and service appointments. This position requires excellent communication skills, a courteous phone manner, and the ability to follow established scripts to enhance customer satisfaction and drive appointment bookings.
Primary Responsibilities
- Answer all incoming calls according to provided scripts and schedule sales or service appointments
- Make outbound calls to customers for appointment scheduling and follow-ups
- Log customer comments and update customer information in the database
- Schedule follow-up contacts when appointments are not made
- Confirm and reschedule no-show appointments as needed
- Coordinate with Sales and Service departments to track appointment results
- Generate and send letters, postcards, and emails following predetermined timelines for customer follow-ups
- Respond to website customer requests and contact internet leads via phone and email
- Notify relevant departments when appointments are scheduled
- Assist with additional duties as assigned
- Meet or exceed monthly performance goals
Work Hours

Job Requirements:
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in telemarketing, customer service, automotive, or business development is highly preferred
- Familiarity with scripts, power tracks, or similar customer contact processes
- Professional, enthusiastic, and friendly demeanor as the first point of customer contact
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with management and team members
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time-management and prioritization skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and general computer/data entry skills preferred
