Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate credit risk across transactions involving financial institution counterparties, including banks, broker-dealers, insurance companies, asset managers, and investment funds.
- Conduct detailed analysis of counterparty financial strength, transaction structure, and risk exposure to support sound credit decision-making.
- Assess key deal components such as facility structures, financial performance, market dynamics, and relationship considerations.
- Prepare concise credit memoranda and executive summaries outlining transaction risks, mitigants, and recommendations for senior credit leadership.
- Coordinate the internal credit approval process, working closely with front office teams and senior credit management.
- Monitor the ongoing credit quality of approved counterparties and transactions, identifying emerging risks or changes in exposure.
- Provide guidance to business teams to ensure credit submissions are thorough, accurate, and aligned with internal risk policies.
- Ensure credit reviews and documentation adhere to regulatory expectations and internal risk governance standards.
- Participate in portfolio monitoring activities and periodic reviews to assess counterparty performance and exposure levels.
