A leading advisory firm is seeking a Director/Partner to oversee its Mergers & Acquisitions practice. This role is responsible for driving strategic transaction initiatives, advising executive-level clients, and managing complex deal execution. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or transaction advisory, along with a proven ability to lead teams and influence senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute M&A strategies, including identifying acquisition targets, partnership opportunities, and divestiture options.
- Advise client leadership teams on strategic goals, growth plans, and transaction readiness.
- Conduct market research, financial analysis, and valuation work to support deal recommendations.
- Source and evaluate new opportunities; maintain relationships with investment banks, private equity, and strategic partners.
- Lead full lifecycle deal execution—due diligence, financial modeling, structuring, negotiation, and integration planning.
- Oversee cross-functional teams across legal, tax, finance, and operations.
- Negotiate key deal terms and supervise transaction documentation.
- Develop and implement exit strategies, including private sales, mergers, and IPO preparation.
- Guide clients through sale-readiness, including due diligence support, market positioning, and financial transparency.
- Serve as a senior advisor on all aspects of M&A and exit planning.
- Lead and mentor a team of Senior Managers, fostering collaboration and high-quality delivery.
- Represent the practice at industry events, client meetings, and networking engagements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- 12 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development.
- Strong background in financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence.
- Proven experience leading complex transactions from strategy to close.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership and team development capabilities.
Compensation
Annual compensation ranges from $220,000 to $500,000 , based on experience, with additional incentives tied to revenue generation. A full benefits package is included.
