You'll manage the complete leave lifecycle from intake to closure while providing training, mentorship, and operational support to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesLeave Administration & Case ManagementOversee comprehensive leave of absence claim management from first notice through closure for the networkReview and analyze medical documentation to determine eligibility for assigned claimsHandle complex leave cases requiring advanced judgment based on knowledge, skills, and experienceEnsure accurate eligibility decisions by reviewing guidelines and applying regulatory requirementsMaintain accurate records and ensure full legal compliance with all leave documentationIntegrate multiple leave types (e.g., Workers' Compensation with FMLA) and coordinate with benefits, payroll, and other functionsWorkers' Compensation ManagementAct as primary point of contact for injured employees throughout their Workers' Compensation claimsServe as liaison between injured employees and Workers' Compensation adjustersAnalyze and process Workers' Compensation claims by investigating and gathering information to determine compensability and exposureInvestigate claims to determine injured worker's entitlement to benefitsAdminister indemnity and medical benefits for valid Workers' Compensation claimsConduct interviews with injured employees to obtain detailed descriptions of injuriesOrganize and analyze all files and documents related to injured workers and injuriesTeam Leadership & TrainingProvide support, guidance, and training to Leave of Absence Specialists on appropriate procedures for all leave typesDevelop and update Leave Management Process Training Manual for new hiresTrain staff on new systems and process ManagementStakeholder Relations & Customer ServiceServe as point of contact for LOA Administrators, Management, Human Resources, Legal, and plan vendorsEnsure highest level of customer service with supervisors, managers, and employees throughout LOA processProvide responsive support and guidance on complex leave mattersCommunicate effectively across all organizational levelsReporting, Analytics & ComplianceDevelop, generate, and present reports to analyze leave data and trendsCreate and manage dashboard reports for management reviewTrack current leaves, returns from leave, and intermittent leave implicationsProvide day-to-day support and insight to Metrics & Performance monitoring mechanismsReview, update, and maintain knowledge of all LOA policies to ensure legal complianceEnsure proper distribution and integration of policies with all departmentsParticipate in continuing education on LOA topics to ensure 100% federal and state complianceSystems ManagementMaintain integrity of leave systems including ADP, HR systems, time and leave systems, Access, and ExcelEnsure accurate data entry and system functionality across multiple platformsSupport system updates and enhancements You'll NeedRequired ExperienceMinimum 4 years of extensive administrative experience with comprehensive support backgroundProven expertise in leave administration including FMLA, Workers' Compensation, and other leave typesExperience with leave management systems and HRIS platforms (ADP experience strongly preferred)Strong background compiling and analyzing large volumes of informationDemonstrated ability to streamline processes and maximize productivityExperience working in high-volume, fast-paced environments while meeting deadlinesEducationBachelor's Degree requiredMaster's degree progress may substitute for experience (30 credits = 1 year, up to 4 years)Technical SkillsAdvanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Experience
