Mackie Myers is partnering with a high growth consumer brand in the food and beverage space to appoint a Regulatory Affairs Manager.
This is a key hire for the business and will suit someone who enjoys working cross functionally across innovation, quality, operations, procurement, sales, and marketing, helping bring products to market in a compliant, commercially sensible way.
The role will take ownership of regulatory compliance across the full product lifecycle, from early stage concept development through to commercialization and post market support. It is a strong fit for someone who can balance detail, pace, and practical decision making in a fast moving environment.
The Role
You will act as the internal regulatory lead across new and existing product activity, helping the business navigate compliance requirements while supporting innovation and speed to market.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the regulatory subject matter expert across new product launches and product changes
- Reviewing formulations, ingredients, additives, flavors, colors, and processing inputs for compliance
- Supporting ingredient and component governance, including allergen, GRAS, food additive, and intended use assessments
- Reviewing packaging and labeling, including ingredient declarations, allergen statements, nutrition panels, and claims
- Assessing the regulatory impact of formulation changes, supplier changes, packaging updates, process changes, and claim revisions
- Partnering with product development, quality, supply chain, and operations on manufacturing site changes, supplier onboarding, and commercialization activity
- Reviewing supplier documentation including specifications, certificates of analysis, allergen statements, and compliance documentation
- Advising internal stakeholders on market specific requirements across the US, Canada, and EU
- Supporting strong documentation, decision making, and audit readiness across regulatory processes
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of regulatory affairs experience within food and beverage
- Strong knowledge of FDA food regulations, food labeling, allergens, GRAS, food additives, flavors, and colors
- Experience supporting new product development and change management processes
- Confident reviewing labels, claims, and supporting documentation in a commercial environment
- Strong cross functional communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders
- High attention to detail, sound judgement, and a practical approach to regulatory risk
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, Biology, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field
Salary : $100,000 - $150,000
