About the Role
The Accounting Manager will own the month-end close process end-to-end, lead a small team of two direct reports, and serve as a key partner to the Corporate Controller on financial reporting, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
What You'll Do
- Lead and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across multiple locations
- Review and approve staff journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses; prepare your own where required
- Support cash application processes between NetSuite and Shopify POS, ensuring completeness and accuracy of invoice-related transactions
- Oversee open purchase order closures and vendor prepayment reclassifications in NetSuite
- Support weekly accounts payable review and payment processing
- Prepare budget-to-actual variance analysis and provide explanations for fluctuations across locations
- Develop and improve cross-functional workflows to drive operational and reporting efficiency
- Establish and document standard operating procedures across key accounting functions
- Coach, mentor, and develop direct reports with a focus on career growth and professional development
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA a plus
- 8 years of relevant experience in financial reporting and month-end close
- At least 2 years of managerial experience with direct reports
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on NetSuite experience, particularly in purchase order management
- Experience with Shopify POS strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and periodic financial reporting
- Fashion, apparel, or consumer goods background strongly preferred
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- Strong Excel skills and analytical mindset
Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
