What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Process Engineer position at Mackenzie Stuart?
Mackenzie Stuart are currently partnered with a bio-based specialty chemicals manufacturer searching for a Production Process Engineer. The role includes translation of processes from the R&D Group to production equipment, optimizing existing processes, tracking inventories and yields, process control optimization, troubleshooting, minor project installation, training and process documentation.
Responsibilities
- Apply engineering expertise, analyze data for trends, and identify process & operational improvements.
- Drive improvements, process optimizations, and improved process control to enhance product quality, yields, energy, and other cost improvements.
- Serve as the manufacturing lead for the introduction and/or relocation of new manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
- BS or higher degree in Chemical Engineering. Proven track record of hitting or exceeding significant annual sales targets
- Experience in process design and improvement including process trouble shooting and debottlenecking related to improving efficiency, capability, and safety.
- Experience in separation techniques and operations, especially including liquid/liquid (distillation, decantation, etc.).
- Experience in reaction chemistry (synthesis) and kinetics
