About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Injection Molding Technician to support our high-volume manufacturing operations. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring efficient production by performing mold setups, troubleshooting process issues, and maintaining equipment. Responsibilities
- Execute mold changes, setups, and machine startups to meet production schedules.
- Optimize injection molding processes to ensure consistent part quality and minimize defects.
- Collaborate with automation equipment, including robotic systems, to maximize efficiency.
- Conduct thorough quality inspections using precision measuring instruments and vision systems.
- Diagnose and resolve molding problems, such as dimensional variations or cosmetic defects.
- Maintain molds and auxiliary equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Document production activities and process parameters accurately.
- Adhere to all safety, cleanroom, and quality standards.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in injection molding.
- Proficiency in performing mold changes, setups, and process adjustments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Proficient in using precision measuring tools, such as micrometers and calipers.
- Basic computer skills and mathematical proficiency.
- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in medical molding, precision plastics, or cleanroom environments.
- Familiarity with automated robotic systems and in-mold sensors.
- Experience with SAP or TMS systems.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles or 5S methodology.
