About the Role
We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Team Lead to oversee our 2nd-shift operations within a high-volume manufacturing plant. In this role, you will champion equipment reliability and safety while ensuring compliance with industry best practices. Your leadership will be crucial in maximizing production uptime and maintaining our facility's infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Guide and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems to minimize disruptions.
- Implement and refine preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment lifespan and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Maintain and optimize utility systems, including boilers, compressors, HVAC, and refrigeration units, ensuring efficient operation.
- Manage work orders, parts inventory, and maintenance records to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Promote a safety-first environment by enforcing safe work practices and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align maintenance activities with production schedules and facility upgrades.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing or food production setting.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems (3-phase power, VFDs, motor controls) and reading schematics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, including experience with conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, chains, and belts.
- Familiarity with PLC systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and ability to interpret ladder logic.
- Solid understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation systems.
- Proven ability to lead, train, and schedule maintenance personnel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in food, beverage, or packaging manufacturing environments.
- Completion of a vocational or technical training program in a related field.
- Knowledge of CMMS systems.
- Welding and fabrication skills (MIG/TIG/stick).
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration and industrial utility systems.
