About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Forming Technician to join our team and contribute to the precision manufacturing of high-quality parts. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in blueprint interpretation and precision measuring to set up and operate forming equipment. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure that all parts meet required specifications.
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints and work instructions to determine appropriate forming operations.
- Execute forming processes, including offsets, large radii, and standard bends, to achieve desired part shapes.
- Conduct quality checks using precision instruments like calipers, micrometers, squares, and height gauges, ensuring parts meet dimensional requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of completed and scrapped parts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Complete production paperwork and enter data into the company database, maintaining accurate records.
- Maintain tools, measuring instruments, and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, ensuring optimal performance.
- Report equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly and maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and operations sheets to determine set-up and forming processes.
- Mathematical skills to manage units of measure, fractions, decimals, and whole numbers.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Skills
- 1 year of related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience setting up and operating forming equipment.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments, such as calipers and micrometers.
- Familiarity with data entry into manufacturing systems.
