Electrical Instrumentation Technician

We are currently seeking an Electrical Instrumentation Technician to join a chemical manufacturing facility based in Inman, SC.

Compensation Details

The hourly rate for this role is $29.49.

Schedule Information

This role operates on a 12-hour, 4-days-on/4-days-off rotation. You will be expected to work a swing shift, alternating between 1st shift (7:45am to 7:45pm) and 3rd shift (7:45pm to 7:45am), which includes potential requirements for holiday and weekend availability.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform the installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of electrical and instrumentation hardware.
• Collaborate alongside engineering staff and senior technicians to effectively address and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Ensure all maintenance documentation is current by utilizing the facility's CMMS software, MAINTelligence.
• Help maintain a safe, orderly, and clean workspace to ensure full compliance with all plant safety standards.
• Support critical environmental and safety programs by assisting with the upkeep of sensors, scrubbers, and related systems.
• Foster a collaborative maintenance culture while actively seeking opportunities for professional growth and process improvement.

Required Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance, with boiler system backgrounds being acceptable.
• Alternatively, possession of an associate degree or technical certificate in mechatronics, instrumentation, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven foundational understanding of mechanical, instrumentation, or electrical systems.
• Flexibility to accommodate a rotating shift schedule and availability for emergency call-ins.
• Current OSHA 10-Hour General Industry certification.
• Valid NFPA 70E certification.
• Possession of, or active progress toward, a Journeyman Electrician License.
• Working knowledge of HMIs, PLCs, automated control systems, and Variable Speed Drives (VSDs).
• Ability to accurately interpret electrical diagrams, loop drawings, and technical schematics.
• Practical experience involving the operation or troubleshooting of boilers.
• Prior exposure to preventive maintenance workflows and CMMS software platforms.
