About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Die Maintenance Supervisor to lead our team. In this role, you will be pivotal in maintaining our production standards by expertly managing the die repair processes and fostering a high-performance work environment. Your leadership will ensure precision and efficiency in all die-related activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of die repair technicians, offering mentorship and support to elevate their skills and overall performance.
- Manage the entire die repair process, ensuring adherence to stringent quality standards.
- Perform detailed inspections of dies and repair work to pinpoint areas needing improvement and implement effective corrective measures.
- Partner with engineering and production teams to effectively troubleshoot and resolve die-related challenges, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Maintain meticulous records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and inventory of tools and materials, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Enforce strict safety protocols and ensure full compliance with industry regulations, fostering a safe working environment.
- Support the training of new technicians and champion a culture of ongoing learning and professional growth.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree or certification in a related field is highly desirable.
- Extensive experience in die repair or a similar capacity, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of die repair methodologies, tools, and materials.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and effective team management skills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in high-pressure die casting and high-production machining environments.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Unwavering commitment to upholding safety and quality standards in the workplace.
- Proficiency in Tool/Die/Mold Setup.
- Familiarity with Die Cast Machines (Cold Chamber).
