About the Role
We are seeking a skilled CNC Swiss Machine Technician to set up, operate, and maintain CNC Swiss-style lathe machines, contributing to the production of high-quality components. In this role, you will apply your expertise in part fabrication, deburring, and inspection, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Your problem-solving skills will be essential in addressing production challenges and supporting new product introductions through program debugging and setup optimization.
Responsibilities
- Set up CNC Swiss-style lathe machines, optimizing programs for efficient production.
- Perform quality checks using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, optical comparator, etc.) to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of completed and scrapped parts, updating the company database as required.
- Troubleshoot and correct dimensional issues, ensuring setups meet quality standards.
- Execute deburring operations to ensure parts are free of imperfections.
- Read and interpret blueprints, inspection check-sheets, and work instructions to produce parts accurately.
- Make necessary machine adjustments and tool changes to maintain optimal performance.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining CNC lathe machines and CNC controls.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work operation sheets.
- Experience using precision measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Strong computer skills for data entry and machine operation.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Swiss-style lathe machines (e.g., 20’s, 32’s, 38’s, NTY3’s, Hanwha, Hardinge).
- Familiarity with Visual Labor Entry systems.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with other operators.
