Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for lathe and mill machines using Esprit Edge, ensuring efficient and accurate machining processes.
- Interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to create effective CNC programs.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and parameters to maximize machining performance and minimize tool wear.
- Refine programs to enhance efficiency, improve accuracy, and reduce tool wear, contributing to overall cost savings.
- Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot issues and implement program improvements.
- Ensure all programs adhere to safety standards and company protocols, promoting a safe working environment.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- 10 years of CNC programming experience.
- Proficiency in programming lathes with live tooling and 3-axis mills.
- In-depth knowledge of tool technology and selection.
- Strong understanding of G-code programming.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Esprit Edge CAM software.
- Familiarity with Fanuc Macro B.
- Experience with 5-axis mills.
