We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Auto Body Estimator to join our automotive service team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to determine the scope of repairs needed, including auto body repair, mechanical issues, and cosmetic damages.
- Prepare detailed repair estimates using industry-standard estimating software, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate clearly with customers about repair procedures, costs, and timelines to foster trust and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with insurance adjusters to facilitate claims processing and ensure proper coverage for repairs.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and verify completed work meets quality standards.
- Assist customers with vehicle drop-off and pick-up processes while providing exceptional customer service throughout their experience.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new repair techniques, and technical advancements such as automotive diagnostics, transmissions, suspension systems, tire services, brake repair, diesel engine repair, air brake systems, shocks & struts, alignment services, oil changes, and other automotive repairs.
- Create Production Schedules in CCC and keep them updated daily.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or auto service management background demonstrating strong estimating capabilities.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures including auto body repair and collision damage assessment.
- Skilled in upselling additional services such as tire service, suspension work, or transmission repairs to enhance customer value.
- Experience with auto estimating software and service writing to generate accurate quotes efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
- Familiarity with sales techniques related to automobile sales and aftermarket parts recommendations.
- Mechanical knowledge spanning vehicle maintenance tasks like oil changes, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacement, wheel alignments, diesel engine repairs, air brake systems, and tire services.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining a friendly demeanor during customer interactions.
