Duties——-autobody technician—painter and repair
- Prepare vehicle surfaces through sanding, masking, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply primers, paints, coatings, and clear coats using conventional spray guns and airless paint sprayers with precision and consistency
- Use hand tools, grinders, power tools, and buffing equipment to smooth surfaces and achieve flawless finishes
- Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel alignment, welding, and auto glass replacement when necessary
- Conduct auto restoration projects by restoring vintage or damaged vehicles to their original condition
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols such as respiratory protection standards
- Collaborate with team members on vehicle inspections, estimating repair costs, and customer service to ensure satisfaction from start to finish
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in auto body painting and refinishing
- Strong knowledge of automotive surface preparation, masking techniques, sanding, and painting procedures
- Proficiency with surface preparation masking materials and automotive buffing techniques
- Skilled in the use of spray guns (conventional and airless), grinders, power tools, and other auto body repair equipment
- Mechanical knowledge including auto maintenance basics and heavy lifting capabilities for handling large or heavy parts
- Experience with auto estimating software and customer service interactions to facilitate smooth workflow
- Ability to work efficiently under safety standards including respiratory protection while handling paints and chemicals
