The Role
The Catering Sales Manager leads client relationships and revenue across our Drop-Off, DO , and Event Catering programs. You’ll own the full sales cycle, manage client communication from inquiry through execution, and ensure every experience reflects M&G’s elevated food, service, and brand standards.This position also supports outbound growth, marketing initiatives, and mentorship of junior team members.
What You'll Do:
Client & Project Management
- Manage all communication and job oversight for assigned Drop-Off, DO , and Event Catering clients
- Own the full sales cycle: inquiry → proposal → conversion → execution → retention
- Suggest upgrades, customizations, and upsell opportunities
- Prepare proposals, budgets, invoices — ensuring accuracy profitability
- Collaborate closely with Culinary Operations on menus, logistics, and client needs
- Maintain detailed progress daily in Trello Tripleseat
Event & DO Execution
- Oversee planning onsite execution for DO and full-service events
- Coordinate staffing, rentals, vendors, tastings, walkthroughs, and BEOs
- Lead post-event debriefs and ensure flawless execution
Sales & Business Development
- Contribute to monthly sales goals
- Conduct weekly outbound outreach follow-ups
- Manage VIP, corporate, repeat, and prospective client relationships
- Troubleshoot client issues with speed, confidence, and hospitality
Team & Marketing
- Mentor/support the Catering Sales Coordinator
- Contribute to social content planning marketing tasks
- Support menu launches, gifting programs, and industry events
What We're Looking for:
✔ 3–5 years’ experience in catering, hospitality, or events
✔ Strong client relationship project management skills
✔ High level of organization and attention to detail
✔ Excellent communicator and problem solver
✔ Experience with Tripleseat or Trello a plus
✔ Passionate about food, design, and hospitality
