Our client, a large company, is looking for a Permit Expeditor to join their team in Wayne, New Jersey. This role supports permit submissions, zoning applications, inspections, and municipal coordination to ensure projects move efficiently through approval processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the sales and art departments to prepare drawings and documentation for municipal review.
- Complete zoning review applications and building/electrical permit applications.
- Coordinate with engineering partners when sealed drawings are required.
- Schedule and manage municipal inspections and project closeouts, including final and footing inspections.
- Oversee municipal licensing requirements and ensure compliance with conditions such as traffic control or work permits.
- Travel to municipal offices as needed (mileage reimbursement provided).
- Support administrative tasks related to permitting, documentation, and project tracking.
Requirements:
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Thorough knowledge of local zoning and building codes.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills for working with clients and municipal departments.
- Ability to read and understand construction documents.
- Strong problem-solving skills to handle delays, challenges, and permitting obstacles.
Pay & Schedule:
- Pay Rate: $25/hour
- Schedule: Monday & Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Mileage reimbursement for municipal travel.
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
