Welder

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Welder to join a fast-paced fabrication environment supporting production goals and custom builds in Lithonia, GA. This role is hands-on with a variety of metals and requires precision, consistency, and strong safety habits. You’ll collaborate closely with supervisors, engineers, and fellow fabricators to deliver high-quality work on time. If you take pride in clean beads, tight fits, and reading prints without guesswork, this position will let you put those skills to work immediately.

The Day-to-Day:

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel per job specifications.
• Set up machines, choose consumables, and adjust parameters for proper penetration and bead quality.
• Read and apply engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to plan and execute builds.
• Fit, tack, and weld components to produce structurally sound, dimensionally accurate assemblies.
• Inspect welds for alignment, strength, and finish; correct defects to meet internal standards.
• Keep equipment calibrated and the work area organized to support safe, efficient operations.
• Follow PPE, shop rules, and OSHA guidelines at all times.
• Coordinate with team members and leadership to maintain throughput and meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; technical training or a welding certification is a plus.
• 2 years of professional welding experience, including both MIG and TIG.
• Proven ability with thin- and thick-gauge materials.
• Confidence in reading blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols without supervision.
• Solid grasp of welding safety, joint prep, and metal fabrication techniques.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet in a shop/manufacturing setting.

Pay Rate:

• $15.00 to $30.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule:

• 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• or
• 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
