Our client, a commercial printer in Schenectady, NY is seeking a Machine Operator to join their team. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery to ensure efficient production processes.
This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development.
Duties :
- Operate machinery to punch holes in paper and fasten sheets with wire or plastic binding strips
- Feed materials into machines for collating, stitching, trimming, folding, and other finishing tasks
- Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring pages are in order and free of defects
- Insert additional pages into publications and apply labels to envelopes or periodicals
- Package finished products and record daily production
- Maintain a clean work area
Experience :
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Pay and Shift :
- Monday to Friday
- 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM
