Kingdom East School District seeks a full time licensed or eligible School Counselor to work at the Lyndon Town School. Candidates must be dynamic, quality school counselors interested in working with preschool through eighth-grade students. Responsibilities include school counseling instruction embedded in the classroom and small group and individual school counseling services. The ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers, in partnership with area service agencies, and build strong relationships with families is necessary. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work effectively with collaborative teams and possess knowledge of positive behavior interventions, multi-tiered supports, and Responsive Classroom practices. We seek creative, passionate counselors with a sense of humor and genuine love for working with young people within a collaborative team environment. The district provides mentorship and a supportive administration. Vermont school counselors follow the Kingdom East policies and procedures, VT AOE Licensure requirements which include ASCA Ethical Standards for School Counselors and the ASCA School Counselor Professional Standards & Competencies. They align their work with the comprehensive Vermont School Counseling Model, which focuses on developmental academic, career, and social-emotional needs through school-wide interventions. The pay range for this position is $46,267-$89,467.
