Role Summary
This position is ideal for a mid‑level structural engineer who thrives on autonomy and responsibility. You will be expected to manage projects from start to finish, taking full ownership of the entire lifecycle- including scoping, analysis, design, coordination, and delivery.
You'll meet with the principal at the outset of each assignment to align on objectives and constraints. From there, you are trusted to run the project independently, making sound technical decisions, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met. Check‑ins will be periodic and focused on high‑level review rather than day‑to‑day oversight.
This role is designed for someone who wants to operate as a true project lead and grow into a key contributor within the firm.
Requirements
- PE license strongly preferred; EIT required if not yet licensed
- 5-8 years of structural engineering experience
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage full project cycles
- Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with firm leadership
- Ability to communicate effectively with Clients, Contractors and all Project Stakeholders
- Interest in, or openness to occasional building envelope projects (helpful but not required)
