Water Resources Project Engineer / Project Manager - Albuquerque, NM
We are partnered with a growing engineering consulting firm seeking a Water Project Engineer or Project Manager to support the delivery of complex water, wastewater, and water resources projects in the Albuquerque area. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of infrastructure projects while remaining closely involved in the technical aspects of engineering.
This is an ideal position for someone with a strong technical background who wants to stay hands on with design while also taking on increasing responsibility in project execution, client interaction, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
* Support and lead the design of water, wastewater, and water resources infrastructure projects
* Prepare and review technical deliverables including plans, specifications, reports, and engineering calculations
* Contribute to or manage projects involving treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, storage systems, or water resource planning efforts
* Perform hydraulic modeling, system analysis, and detailed engineering calculations
* Coordinate with internal design teams, subconsultants, and clients to ensure successful project delivery
* Manage project scope, budgets, and schedules depending on level of experience
* Participate in client meetings and contribute to long term relationship development
Technical Experience
* Strong background in water, wastewater, or water resources engineering
* Experience with treatment processes, conveyance systems, distribution systems, or groundwater and surface water systems
* Proficiency with tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydraulic modeling software, and/or GIS platforms
* Ability to perform technical design calculations and contribute to engineering decision making
* Experience preparing design documents and supporting projects through construction
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
* Professional Engineer license or actively pursuing licensure
* 4 to 10 years of relevant experience depending on level
* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
* Experience working with municipal or public sector clients is preferred

Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
