QA/QC Manager

A leading mechanical contractor specializing in complex HVAC, plumbing, process piping, industrial, life sciences, and mission-critical projects is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to lead quality programs across large-scale construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring all work meets client requirements, industry standards, and applicable code compliance while promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific QA/QC programs and procedures.
- Oversee inspections and quality audits for HVAC, plumbing, process piping, and mechanical systems.
- Ensure compliance with applicable ASME codes and standards, project specifications, and client requirements.
- Manage pressure testing, commissioning documentation, turnover packages, and closeout deliverables.
- Partner with project managers, superintendents, engineers, and field teams to proactively address quality concerns.
- Lead root-cause investigations and corrective action plans when quality issues arise.
- Conduct site inspections and verify installations conform to design drawings and specifications.
- Track quality metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives across projects.
- Interface with clients, third-party inspectors, and commissioning teams throughout project execution.
- 5 years of QA/QC experience within mechanical construction.
- Strong background in HVAC, plumbing, process piping, fabrication, and mechanical systems.
- Demonstrated experience working with ASME codes, welding quality requirements, and pressure piping systems.
- Knowledge of welding procedures, NDT methods, hydrostatic testing, and material traceability programs.
- Experience supporting industrial, life sciences, manufacturing, healthcare, mission-critical, or data center projects.
- Ability to review drawings, specifications, ISOs, submittals, and quality documentation.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management documentation systems.
- OSHA certification preferred.
