Summary
A leading construction firm is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of projects, ensuring quality, schedule, and safety standards are met. This individual will also play a key role in mentoring project teams and building strong client relationships through a high level of service.
- Manage the overall financial performance of projects, including oversight of subcontractors and suppliers
- Develop, track, and maintain project budgets and financial forecasts within internal systems
- Review and approve invoices, assign cost codes, and coordinate billing with accounting teams to ensure timely payments
- Prepare and issue monthly client billings and manage contracts, including buyout processes
- Oversee procurement and selection of trade partners and vendors within budget constraints
- Lead and mentor junior project staff, including Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, supporting their development and workload management
- Review and approve timecards for site personnel and provide ongoing performance feedback
- Act as the primary client contact, managing relationships and addressing any on-site concerns
- Manage change orders from initiation through approval, including coordination with clients and design teams
- Maintain project schedules and budgets through to completion, while overseeing safety, quality, risk, and compliance
- Build strong working relationships across project stakeholders at all levels
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 7 years' construction management experience, with a track record delivering large-scale projects valued at $20M
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required
- Proven experience managing complex construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Working knowledge of construction contracts, processes, and standard business practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across diverse teams
- Ability to interpret and apply internal policies and procedures
- Understanding of inclusive workplace practices and equal opportunity principles
Salary : $130,000 - $190,000
