Payroll Specialist
Location: New Windsor, NY

We are working with a well-established engineering consultancy looking to bring on a Payroll Specialist to support their growing operations. This is a great opportunity to join a stable, collaborative business with strong project pipelines and a people-first culture.
You'll take ownership of payroll processing and support HR/Finance in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll delivery across the business.
- Process payroll end-to-end, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Handle payroll taxes, deductions, benefits, and reconciliations
- Prepare payroll reports and assist with month-end close activities
- Partner with HR and Finance to resolve payroll discrepancies
- Support audits and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and systems
- 2 years of payroll experience
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance
- Experience with payroll systems (ADP, Workday, UKG, or similar)
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
