This firm is currently seeking a motivated and proactive Healthcare Architect to join their healthcare design team.
This position is based in either the Kansas City, Missouri office or the Lawrence, Kansas office.
The Healthcare Architect will be responsible for planning, designing, and managing healthcare projects from early programming through project completion. This role includes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, leadership in design execution, and involvement in business development to support the continued growth of the healthcare market sector.
- Lead the planning, design, and delivery of healthcare projects from initial programming through construction administration
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary internal teams and external consultants on a variety of healthcare project types, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, specialty care centers, and health education facilities (allied health, health sciences, and research)
- Coordinate work efforts across architecture, engineering, interior design, and other disciplines to ensure cohesive and high-quality project outcomes
- Oversee project documentation and ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within scope
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively pursuing new client opportunities
- Support marketing and business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client presentations
- Lead, mentor, and support multi-disciplinary staff with an emphasis on healthcare expertise and professional growth
- Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to convey design intent and technical requirements
- Licensed Architect with a minimum of 10 years of professional healthcare design experience
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, codes, and standards, including FGI and NFPA
- EDAC certification preferred, but not required
- Proven business development experience with an established professional network
- Demonstrated ability to grow, lead, and sustain client relationships
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and managing design teams
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Ability to clearly articulate and present design concepts to clients and stakeholders
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, Enscape, and other design and visualization tools
- Experience overseeing the documentation and delivery of complex healthcare projects
