Job Overview
The Controls Engineer will join a project team responsible for delivering automation solutions to customers across a range of manufacturing environments. This role focuses on the design, development, implementation, and documentation of control systems while working closely with customers and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Design, develop, and document control systems that meet customer and project requirements.
- Lead and contribute to project teams to ensure high‑quality technical deliverables.
- Communicate directly with customers, both on‑site and remotely, to present solutions and collaborate on system designs.
- Travel to customer sites to implement, commission, and test automation solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers, subject matter experts, and business leadership to assess project status and determine the most effective path to successful completion.
- Mentor and support fellow engineers by sharing control system concepts, best practices, and project methodologies.
- Manage projects through the full lifecycle, from concept and design through implementation and closeout.

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Bioengineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Three or more years of experience working with control systems in manufacturing environments.
- Hands‑on experience configuring PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, and/or MES systems.
- Understanding of process control principles or related manufacturing processes.
- Proven ability to deliver projects to successful completion.
- Experience managing projects across the full lifecycle.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Proficiency with standard business software tools, including the Microsoft Office suite.
- Professional, positive, and collaborative work ethic.
- Flexible and cooperative working style, with a willingness to support project needs outside normal working hours when required.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to comply with employment‑ and customer‑mandated drug testing and background checks.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification.
- Industry‑recognized certifications from automation and technology partners.
Salary : $80,000 - $120,000
