Controls Technician - Commercial HVAC

- Perform system start‑ups in accordance with project plans, specifications, and contract requirements
- Analyze and optimize building automation and HVAC system performance
- Commission HVAC and DDC control systems, including controllers, sensors, and networked devices
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems, equipment, and components
- Build, wire, and test control panels as required
- Maintain accurate project documentation, drawings, and detailed field notes
- Provide technical and engineering support for active projects
- Train customers and internal team members on control system operation
- Assist the Service Department with advanced troubleshooting calls as needed
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Solid understanding of DDC control theory and applications
- Hands‑on experience with commercial HVAC systems
- Knowledge of electrical circuits, electronics, and control wiring
- Familiarity with computer hardware, software, and basic programming
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Professional communication and strong customer‑facing skills
- 2 years of hands‑on field experience in HVAC controls or building automation
- Technical degree preferred, but not required
- Working knowledge of HVAC and/or mechanical systems
- Proven mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience are welcome
