Youth Career Pathways Specialist
Location: Maryland | Travel Required: Between Arbutus & Frederick

As a Youth Career Pathways Specialist, you’ll be a mentor, coach, and advocate for refugee youth as they navigate new opportunities. You won’t just manage cases—you’ll change lives.
What You’ll Do:
Inspire and empower refugee youth to build confidence and pursue education, training, and careers.
Develop individualized career plans with each young person and track progress toward their goals.
Provide case management for up to 30 youth, connecting them to services, resources, and mentors.
Recruit and coordinate volunteer mentors who can guide and encourage youth.
Conduct outreach and community building to strengthen connections with schools, training providers, and employers.
Deliver career counseling, workshops, and training to help youth succeed in their new communities.
Travel between Arbutus and Frederick, MD to meet youth where they are — in schools, workplaces, and communities.
What You’ll Need:
Inspiring youth experience — background in mentoring, youth leadership, teaching, or coaching is strongly valued.
- Bachelor’s degree (social work, psychology, human services, international studies, or related field) OR equivalent work experience
At least 1 year of experience in case management, social services, or youth development.
Reliable car and valid driver’s license (this role requires frequent travel).
Strong communication skills (oral & written), cultural sensitivity, and the ability to build trust quickly.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with data entry.
Multilingual skills (Arabic, Spanish, Dari, Pashto, Haitian Creole, or other relevant languages) are a plus.
