Some jobs change paperwork. This one changes lives.
In Washington, DC, children in foster care are waiting — waiting for stability, for family, for someone who believes in them. Too often, their stories begin with loss. But with the right support, those stories can transform into ones of healing, resilience, and hope.
That’s where you come in.
We’re seeking a passionate, licensed Social Worker (MSW) to stand in the gap for children and families. This is not just a role — it’s a calling to ensure every child has the chance to grow up safe, loved, and on a path to permanency.
What You’ll Do
Look into the eyes of children and families and see their potential — not just their pain.
Conduct safety assessments and guide families toward goals that change futures.
Supervise visits that preserve the most important bond of all — family.
Advocate fiercely in schools, courts, and communities to make sure no child is forgotten.
Write plans and reports that aren’t just documents — but blueprints for a better life.
Walk beside children until permanency is not a possibility but a reality.
Who You Are
A Master’s-level Social Worker (MSW), licensed in DC and MD.
Experienced in child welfare and foster care (2 years preferred).
Culturally competent and trauma-informed, ready to serve families from every background.
Organized, courageous, and unafraid to fight for children who cannot fight for themselves.
Why This Role Matters
Children in foster care don’t have time to wait. Every day matters. Every visit matters. Every voice — your voice — matters. When you show up, you aren’t just helping children survive the system; you’re helping them find family, healing, and hope for a lifetime.
