Global Tax Manager
We're looking for a Global Tax Manager to oversee corporate tax operations for a diversified organization with complex domestic and international business operations. This position will play a key role in ensuring tax compliance, supporting financial reporting, managing tax risk, and partnering with leadership to strengthen the organization's overall tax function.
What You'll Do
- Lead corporate income tax accounting activities, including quarterly and annual tax provisions, deferred taxes, financial reporting, and ASC 740 compliance
- Manage the preparation, review, and coordination of federal, state, and local corporate tax filings while ensuring accuracy and timely submission
- Partner with accounting, finance, and business leaders to gather tax information, improve reporting processes, and strengthen internal tax controls
- Supervise internal tax personnel and coordinate work performed by external service providers, ensuring tax packages, reconciliations, and supporting schedules are complete and accurate
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and evaluate their impact on the organization while identifying planning opportunities, available credits, and potential tax savings
- Perform technical tax research, analyze complex tax matters, and develop practical recommendations to support business decisions
- Support federal and state tax examinations by coordinating audit requests, preparing documentation, responding to tax notices, and working closely with external advisors
- Maintain corporate tax policies, documentation, and workpapers that support compliance, audit readiness, and effective risk management
- Review fixed asset tax reporting, depreciation calculations, apportionment schedules, and other supporting tax analyses
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, and greater efficiency across the corporate tax function
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related discipline
- 6 years of corporate income tax experience within a corporate tax department or public accounting environment
- 2 years of experience leading, mentoring, or supervising accounting or tax professionals
- Strong knowledge of federal and state corporate income tax regulations and related tax planning concepts
- Experience with ASC 740, tax provisions, deferred taxes, and financial statement reporting
- Demonstrated experience reviewing corporate income tax returns, tax workpapers, and supporting compliance documentation
- Strong understanding of tax research methodologies and the ability to interpret and apply complex tax regulations
- Experience managing tax audits, government inquiries, and relationships with external auditors and tax advisors
- Working knowledge of tax compliance software, tax research platforms, and enterprise financial systems
