Part Time - Cashier

Role Overview: This position involves operating cash registers and electronic scanners to process customer purchases, handle various payment methods, and assist with bagging while delivering courteous customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate cash registers, scan items, and process transactions accurately including cash, checks, credit cards, and government assistance programs.
• Weigh, bag, and ensure proper handling of diverse products such as groceries, produce, and frozen foods.
• Maintain knowledge of store programs, product locations, and pricing accuracy, reporting errors as needed.
• Promote store promotions, loyalty programs, and customer engagement; ensure a clean, organized, and safe department.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and food safety protocols; assist with stocking and other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or GED preferred; prior retail experience is a plus.
• Strong verbal communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and perform extended standing, walking, bending, and stooping.
