We are seeking a Government & State Contracting Specialist to support the identification, application, and management of public sector funding and contracting opportunities. This role will focus on securing government partnerships, grants, and service contracts at the city, state, and federal levels to expand our programs and impact.

Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify government contracting opportunities (local, state, and federal)
- Assist with registrations and compliance requirements (SAM.gov, state vendor portals, etc.)
- Prepare and submit applications, proposals, and required documentation
- Track deadlines, submissions, and application statuses
- Maintain organized records of contracts, proposals, and compliance materials
- Support development of proposal narratives, budgets, and supporting documents
- Collaborate with leadership to align opportunities with organizational goals
- Monitor contract opportunities related to transportation, reentry services, mental health, and community programs
- Experience with government contracting, grant writing, or procurement processes (preferred)
- Familiarity with platforms such as SAM.gov, state procurement portals, or RFP/RFQ processes
- Strong research, writing, and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Interest in nonprofit, public sector, or community-based work
- Direct experience working with nonprofit leadership on funding and expansion strategy
- Exposure to government contracting and public sector funding processes
