About The Role
The Volunteer Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting needs of LoopRoots Foundation. This position focuses on project-level and program-level financial work, including grant financials, forecasts, and budget tracking across multiple programs.
This role is well suited for a finance professional or advanced student seeking hands-on nonprofit experience in budgeting, grant finance, and financial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Due to the nature of the role, volunteers may be required to sign a confidentiality agreement.

- LoopConnect A ride credit sponsorship platform that provides free or subsidized rides to prison visitation facilities, allowing families to stay in contact during incarceration.
- LoopTalk A HIPAA-compliant virtual therapy program offering trauma-informed mental health care to justice-impacted individuals and caregivers, including children.
- LoopTroop Rideshare Partnership We collaborate with the LoopTroop Rideshare platform to ensure families have access to safe, reliable, and culturally competent transportation services.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain program and organizational budgets
- Support financial forecasting and cash flow projections
- Assist with grant budgets, financial narratives, and funder reporting
- Track program expenses against approved budgets
- Support project-level financial planning for new and existing programs
- Help create financial models to support funding and sustainability
- Assist in developing standardized financial templates and reporting tools
- Collaborate with program leadership and grant writing staff as needed
- Experience or strong interest in FP&A, nonprofit finance, accounting, or grant financial management
- Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets
- Understanding of restricted funds and grant compliance is a plus
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to clearly communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders
