What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Brand & Performance Marketing position at Locality?
Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, you will play a key role in expressing and evolving Locality’s brand voice across all channels as the company enters a new era focused on technology, AI, and leadership in local advertising. This is a hybrid brand and performance role for a marketer who can partner cross-functionally to translate complex ideas into compelling narratives while driving measurable impact across the full marketing lifecycle. A successful candidate will:

Translate complex topics (including but not limited to AdTech, streaming, data, and AI-powered advertising) into clear, compelling, and accessible stories across all brand marketing efforts.

Own the creation of compelling, brand-aligned content across digital, paid, and owned channels to support awareness, engagement, and growth

Ensure our brand voice, tone, and narrative are consistent across all brand content and external communications.

Plan, execute, and optimize paid media campaigns (display, search, and social), aligning brand storytelling with performance goals.

Track, analyze, and report on paid, owned, and earned performance, using insights to optimize campaigns, improve conversion, and inform future strategy.

Lead the strategy and optimization of Locality’s website, landing pages, and blog, ensuring content is current, optimized for SEO, and built to drive organic visibility and engagement.

Manage Locality’s LinkedIn page and social media content calendar

Partner with Sales, Research, and Leadership teams to identify high-impact stories and research insights and turn them into engaging blog posts, web/social content, and thought leadership.

Collaborate on all PR and communications efforts, including drafting and distributing press releases, managing media announcements, and supporting external communications in partnership with leadership and PR agencies.

Manage vendor workflows, including creative reviews, asset delivery, project timelines, and quality control to ensure brand standards and budgets are met.

Lead award submissions by identifying opportunities, coordinating materials, and ensuring compelling entries.

Support event and brand activation planning, delivering content needs, brand collateral, speaker prep materials, and on-site or virtual execution as needed.

8 years of progressive experience in marketing with a focus on brand and performance marketing
-
B.S. in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Media Studies, Advertising, Public Relations, or a related field.
Brand Marketing

Strong copywriting skills with the ability to craft clear, compelling messaging for brand campaigns, websites, social media campaigns, and executive communications (portfolio required)

Experience developing and delivering polished presentations, including brand decks, thought leadership materials, and internal/external storytelling assets
Performance Marketing

Experience planning, executing, and optimizing paid media campaigns in a B2B environment, with a demonstrated ability to connect brand storytelling to performance outcomes (engagement, lead generation, conversion)

Strong digital and social fluency, with experience managing brand social media accounts and campaigns, including creation of platform-specific content, driving audience growth, and optimizing performance across LinkedIn and other relevant channels.

Working knowledge of SEO best practices, including keyword optimization, on-page structure, and content strategies that improve discoverability and organic performance

Proficiency in marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, platform analytics dashboards) to inform performance optimization; experience with light digital or video editing a plus
Communications & Cross-Functional Execution

Hands-on experience with PR and external communications, including drafting press releases, coordinating announcements, and supporting media outreach or agency partners

Experience supporting event execution and brand activations including producing event-related marketing content.

Experience managing external vendors to ensure high-quality work, timely delivery, and brand consistency
Compensation for the role includes a competitive salary of $100,000-$120,000 (dependent on years of experience, level of education obtained, as well as applicable skillset) and an excellent benefits package (including but not limited to health care benefits, retirement benefits and paid days off).
