What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Laborer - Installer position at Load Trail LLC?
One of the most important general laborer responsibilities is to collect trash, debris and other waste to keep the site clean and safe. You’ll also get to handle power tools and materials (such as saws and drills).
General Laborer Responsibilities:
· Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material
· Assist welders, painters or other tradespeople on-site
· Handle and transport materials (e.g. cement) and equipment (e.g. drills and grinders)
· Use power tools and machinery (e.g. forklifts) when needed
· Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks (e.g. digging, stacking up goods)
· Put up warning signs (e.g. signposts, cones) for vehicles and passersby
· Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures (e.g. scaffolding)
· Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
· High school diploma or GED (preferred, but not always required)
· No prior experience required-entry level position (though manufacturing or mechanical experience is a plus)
· Willingness to learn tools, equipment, and trailer components
Work schedule general hours are 6am-3pm M-Thurs and 6am-12pm on Friday.
Due to production demands, staffing shortages, or business needs, employees may be required to work overtime. Refusal to work mandatory overtime without prior approval may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
The company will strive to provide reasonable notice of required overtime.
However, in urgent or emergency situations, immediate overtime may be necessary without prior notice.
