Head Cashier

Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the retail team to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales targets
• Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
• Manage merchandising efforts to ensure attractive displays that align with brand standards
• Oversee stock levels, coordinate stocking activities, and monitor inventory accuracy within the store
• Handle cash transactions accurately through POS (Point of Sale) systems while maintaining proper cash handling procedures
• Provide training on phone etiquette, communication skills, and customer service best practices to staff
• Support the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of team members to foster a motivated workforce

Requirements

• Proven supervising experience in a retail or grocery store environment with strong leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills with bilingual ability preferred to serve diverse customer needs effectively
• Demonstrated proficiency in POS systems, cashiering, and basic math for accurate transactions
• Strong understanding of retail sales techniques including upselling and merchandising strategies
• Knowledge of grocery store operations such as stocking, inventory management, and customer service standards
• Exceptional phone etiquette skills for professional communication with customers and vendors
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
