Position Summary
The Maintenance / Custodial Associate plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the store. This position ensures that all areas of the market reflect the high standards of quality and presentation that define Livoti’s Old World Market. The associate is responsible for creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both customers and team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of all store areas including sales floor, restrooms, break rooms, offices, and exterior grounds
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal
- Ensure restrooms are clean, sanitized, and fully stocked at all times
- Monitor and promptly address spills, hazards, or safety concerns on the sales floor
- Assist with light maintenance tasks (changing light bulbs, minor repairs, etc.)
- Maintain cleanliness of parking lot, sidewalks, and store entrance areas
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies safely and efficiently
- Support department teams with cleaning needs in perishable and food preparation areas
- Follow all company safety, sanitation, and food safety guidelines
- Respond quickly to management requests and urgent cleaning needs
Qualifications
- Previous custodial, janitorial, or maintenance experience preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow direction
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various conditions

- Exposure to wet floors, cleaning agents, and varying temperatures
