We are seeking dedicated and compassionate PM Care Staff to join our team, available for either full-time or part-time positions. In this role, you will provide essential support to residents in a group home or assisted living environment, ensuring their safety, comfort, and overall well-being. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring health conditions, and fostering a supportive community atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility
- Provide patient care and support for individuals with developmental disabilities, including those with Alzheimer's and dementia
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in residents' health status
- Assist with meal times and delivery according to dietary needs
- Maintain cleanliness in resident areas and common spaces
- Implement care plans tailored to individual resident needs
- Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being
- Provide direct support during mobility assistance, including the use of lifts when necessary
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Skills
- Previous experience in caregiving, especially in assisted living or memory care, is preferred but not required
- Experience in group homes or assisted living facilities is highly desirable
- Strong observation skills to monitor changes in behavior or health conditions
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for resident assistance
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism and other developmental disorders
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and team members
- Understanding of caregiving principles and long-term care experience is a plus
- Current or willing to obtain required CBRF certifications: Medication Administration
