Role Overview:
Provides specialized nursing care in a 27-bed unit treating patients recovering from complex surgical procedures, including tracheostomies, plastic surgery, oncology, urology, and ENT cases.
Responsibilities:
Utilizes the nursing process to promote health, prevent illness, and provide supportive, restorative, and end-of-life care. Assesses patient needs using the AACN Synergy Model, delegates tasks, coordinates care, and collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Performs health teaching, counseling, and unique procedures like leech therapy.
Qualifications & Skills:
Graduated from an accredited nursing program; RN licensure required; BLS certification mandatory, ACLS/PALS may be needed. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred. Demonstrates critical thinking, teamwork, and the ability to deliver high-quality, cost-effective patient care.
