Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role located in Essex County, NJ, for an Accounting Clerk. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in financial records and assisting with day-to-day transactions such as accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate documentation. Additional tasks may include preparing reports, supporting budget tracking efforts, data entry, and assisting with administrative financial duties as needed. The role will require close collaboration with the finance team to support operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in accounting principles, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial recordkeeping
- Strong skills in data entry, reconciliation, and attention to detail
- Experience with accounting software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel)
- Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; coursework or certification in Accounting or Finance is a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in an on-site work environment
- Experience in the construction or retail industries is an advantage but not required
