Job Summary - Arabic Translator / Interpreter (Part-Time, Remote)

Position: Arabic Translator / Interpreter (Project-Based, Part-Time, Remote)

Overview: Seeking a bilingual Arabic-English Translator/Interpreter to support written translation projects in a fully remote, flexible, project-based environment. The role primarily focuses on translating, reviewing, proofreading, and editing written content while ensuring accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and confidentiality. Occasional interpretation assignments via phone or video may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate written materials between English and Arabic.
• Review, proofread, and edit translated documents for accuracy and consistency.
• Participate in voice-recording projects as needed.
• Provide limited phone or video interpretation support.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines independently in a remote environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Fluency in both Arabic and English (written and verbal).
• Strong written communication and translation skills.
• Ability to pass a translation/interpreter assessment with a score of 90% or higher.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Reliable internet connection and basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year of translation or interpretation experience.
• Translation and/or interpretation certification.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
• Knowledge of translation and interpretation best practices.
